39 Weeks Pregnant - getting labour started naturally?
By this stage of pregnancy we’re feeling pretty heavy, uncomfortable and just generally looking forward to being able to get up out of a chair or roll over in bed without it being a big deal! So since baby is technically classed as being “term” now, what about natural options for moving things along?
29 Weeks Pregnant - is my baby too big to be born vaginally?
When I had my morphology ultrasound around 21 weeks, the sonographer commented that baby was measuring in the 96th percentile, and that my provider would probably want to schedule growth scans during third trimester to make sure baby wasn't getting too big. I just smiled and thanked her, but I knew that we would not be planning any growth scans based purely on this comment...

A common comment to hear at 20 weeks pregnant is, “Oh, so you're halfway there!” This is probably roughly true, but let’s talk about due dates! Firstly, have you ever wondered who decided that a pregnancy lasts 40 weeks, and how they came to that conclusion? And most of all, how on earth is it that 40 weeks has come to be seen as a deadline, as if the mother or baby are all of a sudden at high risk from one day to the next?
